Strasbourg satellite meeting to the 16th ICQC:
Strong correlation in electronic structure theory
Laboratoire de Chimie Quantique - Institut de Chimie
Université de Strasbourg - CNRS
National University Library - Strasbourg - France
June 24-27, 2018

The BNU is part of the 'Neustadt', recognized as World Heritage by Unesco in June 2017.
This satellite meeting follows the 16th ICQC that will be held in Menton (France) in June 18-23, 2018.
These webpages will be updated regularly with new available information.
The main purpose of this Strasbourg satellite meeting is to stimulate discussions among chemists and physicists on a yet unsolved problem in electronic structure theory, namely the description of strong correlation in ground and excited electronic states of large molecular or extended systems. Various aspects of the problem will be covered ranging from the derivation of new theories to the efficient computational implementation of more established methods. A large variety of approaches, ranging from quantum chemical wavefunction-based methods to density-, density-matrix- or Green-function- functional theories will be presented. Some participants (selected by the scientific committee) will have the opportunity to give contributed lectures. A poster session will also be organized.
We hope that many of you will join us in Strasbourg for an hopefully friendly and fruitful meeting.
On behalf of the scientific and local organizing committees, welcome to Strasbourg!
Emmanuel Fromager
